AIDS/HIV Community Service Grant

Information

The Health Education Department will be awarding $750 grants to UCI groups, clubs, or organizations. Students may focus their program on any AIDS/HIV related topic. For example, HIV prevention, direct client services, or harm reduction.

Students will design and implement their program during Winter or Spring quarter. Programs must be completed by May 26, 2010. Programs will be attended by members of the Health Education Center staff. Grant recipients must also commit to volunteering and fund raising for the 2008 Orange County AIDS Walk, which is help during the month of May. Recipients are required to volunteer and fund raise for OC AIDS Walk in order to participate in raising money for the following school year. As a recipient agency, the Health Education Center receives funding from the OC AIDS Walk event and it is important that mini grant recipients participate in funding for the following school year so these types of programs are able to be maintained.
