Campus Rec offers fitness and wellness programs,
aerobics, swimming, intramurals, martial arts, self-defense for
women classes, sailing and club sport opportunities. The Anteater
Recreation Center is located at 680 California Avenue.
Career and Life Planning Center

Childcare Services

Childcare Services manages six different programs
for children of students, faculty and staff. Location: 501 Adobe

Counseling Center

Daily intake hours for individual,couples and group therapy by
licensed psychologists. Support and discussion groups on various
issues. Located on second floor of Student Services I.
Cross-Cultural
Center

Cross Cultural Center provides a network of support services including
leadership training, multicultural programming and advising, outreach
programs and academic support. Located across the road from Student
Services I.
Environmental Health & Safety

Environmental Health & Safety strives to provide
a safe and healthy environment by preventing or minimizing injuries
and illness. Staff provide inspections, consultations, training
and emergency response services to meet this goal. Location: 4600
Bison Avenue.

Assistance Program

Services provided for members of campus community who are experiencing
a wide-range of problems. Short-term counseling, referral and educational
workshops. Located in 255 Administration.
Health Education Center

Academic courses, volunteer programs, resources and computer self-help
center available to help you achieve healthy lifestyle goals. Staff
available by appointment and drop-in to consult on health related
issues including pregnancy options, sexual health and stress management.

Interfaith Center

Confidential spiritual guidance and support for people of many
faiths. Weekly meetings and services. Located near Engineering and
ICF, #319 on UCI map.

Peer Advisors, trained and supervised by Counseling Center staff,
available for support and referrals. Coming Out Support Group and
informational brochures and materials. Located in the new Student Center, on the 3rd floor.
Office of the Ombudsmen, Campus
Mediation Program

Ombudsman is available to any member of the UCI community and works
independently as an objective, confidential mediator. Campus Mediation
Program provides a confidential structure that encourages the parties
in a dispute to work together to reach acceptable outcomes. Located
in University Tower.
Parking Services, Alternative
Transportation

Alternative Transportation Services offers incentives
for students, faculty and staff who choose not to drive alone to
campus on a daily basis. Their website includes links to train,
bus and shuttle schedules to ease your commute to UCI.
Police Department
(radKIDS Safety Academy)

The UC Irvine Police Department and Campus Recreation
offer the radKIDS Safety Academy (Resisting Aggression Defensively).
The academy covers all aspects of personal safety such as out and
about safety, vehicle safety, bike safety, home safety, school safety,
bullies, fire safety, using 911 correctly, Internet pitfalls, water/pool
safety, as well as stranger awareness, good/bad/uncomfortable touch,
and basic principles of defense. This personal empowerment and safety
education program is designed specifically for boys and girls. Two
separate classes are available for children ages 5 to 7 and 8 to
10. (Fee: $40.00 per child.) Each child can return and practice
free of charge until their 11th birthday. For further information

medical professionals. Some insurance and payment plans available,
some fee for services. Speciality clinics include women's clinic,
men's clinic, dental and eye. Discount pharmacy. Students can self-order
some laboratory tests including pregnancy and blood glucose. Confidential
HIV testing available at cost. Location: 501 Student Health, corner
of Pereira and East Peltason, Building #5.
