Collaborative Projects

 

Antitobacco Research Grant
Director Ellen Reibling serves as Project Director for projects grant funded to Dr. Connie Pechmann, Graduate School of Management by the Tobacco Related Disease Research Program. The projects focus on predicting the potential efficacy of anti-tobacco advertising targeting youth. Undergraduate research opportunities are available through this project.



Safer Colleges and Universities:  A UC- System Evaluation
Health Education serves as the UCI liaison for a systemwide project funded to the Prevention Research Center. The five year project will evaluate the impact of a comprehensive, community-based campus intervention. Assistant Director Leigh Poirier Ball will direct this effort on behalf of UCI.

 

RADD - College DUI Awareness Program

UCI's Health Education Center, Office of Traffic and Safety (OTS), and Recording Artists Against Drunk Driving (RADD) are collaborating to form a College DUI Awareness Program.  The goal of this two year project is to reduce the number of drunk crashes in the State of California. Volunteer positions are available for those who want to be a part of the RADD Crew.  


AIDS Walk OC

AIDS Walk Orange County supports the Sexual Health Program, funded by an annual grant from the proceeds of the walk.  The Walk attracts more than 12,000 participants and is held in May.
